"Introduction to Watercolour” is an 8 part course to introduce you to the world of watercolour, designed and taught by professional artist Jun-Pierre Shiozawa.
This in-depth course will take you from total beginner to feeling comfortable enough with the medium to paint original pieces. These exercises, demos, talks and examples, will immerse you in watercolour ideas that will help you develop your painting path.
Introduction to Watercolour 1: Colours, Brushes and Strokes - Learn different kinds of watercolour paper, brushes and paints; mixing colours and the basics
Introduction to Watercolour 2: Wetness, Dryness and Washes - Learn about washes and understanding the relationship between water, paper and paint
Introduction to Watercolour 3: Layering and Glazes - Learn how to use lights, darks and the basics of layering and glazing
Introduction to Watercolour 4: Space and Masking - Learn how to paint white subjects and how to use different masking techniques
Introduction to Watercolour 5: Tone Studies - Learn how to paint in terms of light to dark and how to consider tonality when painting
Introduction to Watercolour 6: Colour, Temperature and Intensity - Learn how to apply the basics of colour theory, temperature and intensity in your paintings
Introduction to Watercolour 7: Form and Texture - Learn how to convey convincing forms and textures
Introduction to Watercolour 8: Mixing Media - Learn how to combine different mediums with the watercolour techniques covered in the past workshops
These Course Recordings are for beginner artists and will run for approximately 60 minutes each.
